Always there for you

A longer term support team who know you better

We’ll know and support you better because right across the Dimensions Group:

29%

Our colleagues right across Dimensions are 29% less likely to leave their job than a typical support worker in the UK*

20%

So we used agency staff for 20% fewer shifts than the sector average in 2024*

Perhaps it’s because we’ve been independently judged as a Great Place to Work for the past eight years

I just wanted to say how refreshing it is to see a support worker who is engaged with their person and not sat on their phone [at a music class.]
Clint always has a big smile and is not afraid to get up and dance with the gentleman he supports.
A credit to your team at the Saplings.

Consistent, High-Quality Support You Can Trust

At Discovery, we match you with the right support workers to ensure continuity and quality of care. As a certified Great Place to Work, our colleagues stay longer—providing stability and consistency for the people we support.

In 2024, only 17% of our team moved on, compared to a 28% sector-wide average. Why does this matter? Because long-term, consistent support leads to better outcomes for individuals and families.

Matching

Your One Page Profile

At Discovery, we believe the people in your home should be those you feel comfortable with.

That’s why we involve you and your family in selecting your support team.

It all starts with your One Page Profile—a simple but powerful tool that helps us understand what matters most to you and how to provide the best support. This ensures your care is personalised, respectful, and focused on your goals.

Recruiting the right team together

At Discovery, we believe your support team should reflect your personality, interests, and goals. That’s why we involve you and your family in the process.

You can help write a job description that describes the type of person you want on your team—matching their skills and interests to yours. You may also take part in shortlisting, interviews, and giving feedback after the probation period.

Even if you choose not to be involved, we’ll always aim to match your support team to your personality and preferences, ensuring truly person-centred care.

Working at Discovery

Fair pay and benefits

At Discovery, we work hard to be an organisation where people want to join—and stay. This means better continuity of care for you.

Wherever possible, we pay the Real Living Wage or higher and offer a comprehensive benefits package to support our colleagues.

We’re one of the few social care providers with a collective bargaining agreement with UNISON South West. This partnership helps us create a fair, supportive workplace—because happy, valued staff deliver the best care.

A Great Place to Work

Most colleagues choose Discovery because we truly live our values. For the past six years, we’ve been independently recognised as a Great Place to Work—an award based on real colleague feedback.

This recognition helps us improve every year and, most importantly, means our team stays longer. In fact, our retention rates are among the best in social care in the South West.

Consistent, long-term support means fewer strangers in your home and better quality care for you.

You are an outstanding team! Linda is a lucky lady to have such dedicated supporters.
