The team at Charlton Road have provided consistent, present and active support, creating a positive environment in which Louise feels encouraged and valued. Through patience, encouragement and shared commitment, her confidence is steadily growing, and her progress is becoming increasingly visible each day.
Louise has a clear plan to develop her life skills and is beginning to appreciate the support that helps her make choices that work for her. Recently, when a housemate chose quiche and salad for dinner, Louise prepared an alternative that better suited her health goals. This sparked a helpful conversation about meal planning and making choices together, which Louise thoughtfully took on board.
Soon after, she proudly took the lead in choosing and preparing a healthy recipe from her Weight Watchers book for everyone in the house to enjoy. Being supported to cook for her housemates brought her real joy and was a wonderful example of her growing confidence and sense of belonging.
Moments like this show how Louise is becoming more empowered to shape her own life, share her skills with others and enjoy life in her home at Charlton Road – with independence, choice and enjoyment continuing to grow every day
