Dale is a woman who spent more than ten years living on her own, with one-to-one support, in a large three-bedroom house. She is a naturally anxious person, and over time that anxiety meant her world became quite small. Although the house was originally intended to be shared, Dale lived there alone for many years.

Louise is settling into life at Charlton Road and embracing the experience of living in her own home alongside four other people. As she becomes familiar with supported living, she is discovering new opportunities to develop skills, build confidence and grow into the independent, outgoing person she already has within her.

When Katherine ( Kat) arrived at Cliff View in Cheddar, her world felt very small. Her confidence had dipped, her health had suffered, and she had lost trust in support after an earlier living arrangement that hadn’t worked for her. With patience, consistency, and encouragement from her team, Kat began to grow.

What began as an unfortunate accident has turned into a heartwarming story of kindness and teamwork.
